Hematology/Oncology Physician

Locums - Waterloo, Iowa, Hematology/Oncology Job (IMLC Welcome) Clinical Role:

•  Patient Contact Hours: Variable
•  Shifts per month: 16
•  Clinic Hours:
•  Clinic Days: Mon-Thurs
•  Shift Length: 8 hours
•  On Call: One week and one weekend per month.
•  Inpatient Responsibilities - Yes, very infrequent that you would need to go to the hospital for a consult. Hospitalists admit all patients
•  Medical Staff Required
•  Job Responsibilities: Consults, follow-up care, oversee administration of antineoplastics in the clinic
•  Number of Physicians: 1
•  Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 2 (supervision of APPs not expected)
•  Nursing Support/Physician Nurse Ratio: 2:1
•  Ancillary Staff per Provider: Reception, lab, social worker, referrals
•  Services offered in the practice: Antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, bone marrow biopsies
•  Number of Exam Rooms per provider: 4
•  Medical Imaging
•  Lab
•  Pharmacy
•  Clinic Provider Daily Volume: 16-20
•  Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 0-2
•  Appointment Length: This can be adjusted to the provider
•  Patient Demographics: 18 years and older
•  Electronic Medical Record: Epic
•  Teaching Opportunity
•  Board Certified - Required
•  Active IA License or Active IMLC - Required
•  Fellowship Trained (Hematology Oncology) - Required
•  Must be experienced - Strongly Preferred (will accept new graduates)
•  Must be available Full-time - Strongly Preferred (will accept candidates who can offer 1-2 weeks per month)
