Hematology/Oncology Physician

MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center is looking for a Locums Hematologist-oncologist to fill their need.

Schedule:
•  Patient Contact Hours: Variable
•  Shifts per month: 16
•  Clinic Hours:
•  Clinic Days: Mon-Thurs
•  Shift Length: 8 hours
•  On Call: One week and one weekend per month. Details:
•   Inpatient Responsibilities - Yes, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center and MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center. Very infrequent that you would need to go to the hospital for a consult. Hospitalists admit all patients.
•   Medical Staff Required: Yes
•   Job Responsibilities: Consults, follow up care, oversee administration of antineoplastics in the clinic.
•   Number of Physicians: 1
•   Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 2 (supervision of APPs not expected)
•   Nursing Support/Physician Nurse Ratio: 2/1
•   Ancillary Staff per Provider: Reception, lab, social worker, referrals
•   Services offered in the practice : Antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, bone marrow biopsies.
•   Number of Exam Rooms per provider: 4
•   Medical Imaging: Yes
•   Lab: Yes
•   Pharmacy: Yes
•   Clinic Provider Daily Volume: 16-20
•   Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 0-2
•   Appointment Length: This can be adjusted to the provider.
•   Patient Demographics: 18 years and older
•   Electronic Medical Record: Epic
•   Teaching Opportunity: Yes Submission Requirements
•  Board Certified
•  Active IA License or Active IMLC
•  Fellowship Trained (Hematology Oncology)
•  Must be experienced - Strongly Preferred (will accept new graduates)
•  Must be available Full time - Strongly Preferred (will accept candidates who can offer 1-2 weeks per month)
