Hematology/Oncology Physician

Coverage Needed :

• July 27 - October 26, 2025
• Schedule: Monday through Friday,
• Call: Call expectations during office closed times, 1 in 4 rotation, full day call on weekends and holidays

Clinical Details :

• Practice Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient, Telehealth
• Patients Per Shift: 12-16
• Bed In Department: 9 exam rooms
• Rounding: Assigned Patients
• EMR System: Cerner
• Support Staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, 2 Office Staff
  • Supervision: Required for Advanced Practice Providers
• Call Type: Beeper, 30-minute response time
  • Average Call: 3 phone consults per 24 hours, 10% call back rate
  • Calls mainly for outpatients and occasional calls from ED providers and hospitalists
• In-Office Procedures: Bone Marrow Biopsy, Spinal Tap/Intrathecal Chemo
• Combination of Hematology and Oncology patients
• Will manage Bone Marrow/Stem Cell patients post transplant
• See all types of cancer
• Referral: Acute Leukemia patients referred to specialized center
• Trauma Level: 2

Requirements :

• Board Certification: Eligible
• BLS
