Join Our Team as an Oncology and Hematology Physician
We are seeking a dedicated physician to provide locum tenens coverage in our state-of-the-art facility in Oklahoma City, starting in July 2025. Our facility specializes in advanced cancer treatment through the Mercy Cancer Center, which is equipped with the latest medications, clinical trials, and diagnostic technologies. The ideal candidate will help deliver compassionate care within a multidisciplinary team environment, ensuring seamless patient experiences from diagnosis to survivorship.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient examinations and manage treatments for patients under care.
- Administer treatment and develop supportive care plans, including symptom management.
- Monitor patient progress and provide ongoing patient communication.
- Consult on new patient referrals in hematology and oncology.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in hospital rounds and provide call coverage as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in oncology or hematology preferred.
- Eligible for board certification if not currently certified.
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly Epic.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Fellowship training is preferred, particularly in hematology or oncology.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active physician license is mandatory.
- Hospital privileges are required.
- Malpractice insurance is provided.
