- MD: 12-14 patients/day
- APP: 8-10 patients/day

• Case Mix: General Hematology and Oncology Cases

• Trauma Level: N/A (Critical Access Hospital with 21 beds)

• EMR System: Epic/Beacon

• Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesiologists, Onsite Radiologists

• Support Staff Available: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

• Reason for Coverage: Temporary Supplemental Coverage

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in an outpatient setting

• Collaborate with APPs and support staff to ensure continuity of care

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active North Carolina License

• Certifications: Board Certification, DEA

• Experience:
- Clinical experience in hematology and oncology
- Familiarity with Epic/Beacon EMR systems preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver high-quality hematology and oncology care to adult patients in an outpatient setting

• Collaborate with APPs and other healthcare providers

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic/Beacon EMR

• Ensure seamless coordination with Vidant Air and Vidant Ground Support for patient transfers as needed

• Participate in orientation on-site the day prior to the shift start

• 24-hour laboratory availability
