Job Opportunity: Physician - Internal Medicine (Hematology and Oncology)

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for 1 week per month from July to December, with potential additional coverage needs.
- Manage patient care hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Participate in 24-hour weekend call, with shared weekday call responsibilities.
- Respond to inquiries from RNs regarding patients, including those receiving chemotherapy.
- Consult with the emergency department as needed.
- Oversee a maximum of 17 patient encounters per shift.
- Utilize the Mosiaq EMR system for patient documentation.
Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology, or board eligibility.
- Fellowship in Hematology or Oncology is preferred.
- Current state medical licensure or eligibility.
- Strong communication and patient management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology.
- Active medical license in the state of New Mexico is required.
- Must have hospital privileges or be able to obtain them.
