Your Role at a Glance
As a VA Hem/Onc physician, you'll be at the forefront of transformative, outpatient-focused cancer care for Veterans. You will diagnose and manage a spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary setting. Responsibilities include:
- Leading initial patient consultations and establishing evidence-based treatment plans
- Administering and monitoring chemotherapy regimens
- Coordinating multidisciplinary care with oncology nurses, pharmacists, and PAs
- Participating in tumor boards and section-based clinical decision-making
- Providing continuity of care for Veterans across the treatment spectrum
- Optional participation in clinical research and teaching opportunities with local academic affiliates
