Help Desk Specialist (Tier 1)
Our client, a Fortune 100 Credit Union, is looking to add a Help Desk Specialist to their team in Vienna, VA (Full-time onsite). To be considered, candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance to Vienna, VA, and have experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 diagnostics, troubleshooting for hardware and software, and hands-on experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.

Description
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Tier 1 and Tier 2 hardware and software issues.
  • Support and maintain PCs, laptops, and Thin Client devices.
  • Document operating procedures and ensure accurate, detailed ticket notations.
  • Utilize ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system to track and resolve issues.
  • Manage asset inventory, including scanning, updating, tracking, collection, and ensuring equipment availability.
  • Coordinate and execute employee moves, including equipment teardown, installation, and cable management.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workspace while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to resolve technical issues effectively.
Requirements
  • Candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance to Vienna, VA.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without a sponsoring employer indefinitely. At this time, we can only accept U.S. Citizens, GC EAD, GC Holders, and TN Visa holders.
  • Experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 technical support, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Strong familiarity with PCs, laptops, and Thin Client devices.
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and maintaining accurate ticket records.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ticketing system.
  • Knowledge of asset management and inventory control best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to equipment setup, relocation, and cable management.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
