Our client is looking for a driven and dependable Help Desk Support Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. While the role is primarily on-site, there may be occasional opportunities for hybrid work down the line. You'll provide hands-on support, take ownership of incoming issues, and be part of a team that values initiative and follow-through.
Location: 5 days on site 8:30-5pm, in Munster, IN
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to 40-60 support calls per day, providing frontline technical assistance
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 level issues-escalate to Tier 2 as needed
- Handle Active Directory tasks (e.g., account lockouts, password resets)
- Log and track issues using our ticketing system
- Proactively resolve simple tickets and assist with team coordination when needed
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of IT Helpdesk or technical support experience
- Familiar with Active Directory and basic account administration
- Strong troubleshooting and multitasking skills
- A+ Certification is a plus, but not required
- Strong communicator with a customer-first mindset-you listen, problem-solve, and follow through
- Someone who's hungry to learn, grow, and possibly move into field or project roles in the future
