The Job
The Help Desk Coordinator performs a variety of technical support services related to day-to-day IT operational request. Manage, process, and resolve all end user support requests for the San Dimas location. Execute hands on desktop technical support and networking support. Provide hardware and software support for PC's, OSx, o365 Admin, Printers, Unifi equipment. Provide customer support for NHRA.TV. Liaison for track contractors. Implement security measures, incident response, and staying updated on cybersecurity threats.

FLSA/SALARY:
Hourly/Non-Exempt/$21.50-$24.00/hr
REPORTS TO:
IT Operations Manager

Primary Responsibilities
  • Monitoring the help desk ticket system.
  • Configurations and troubleshooting of PCs, Cell Phones, OSx, and network printers.
  • Experience with Office365 applications, Azure, Windows Servers and Domain Controllers.
  • Basic understanding of Audio/Visual equipment.
  • Basic understanding of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), VLANs, network layers and protocols.
  • Basic understanding of VOIP phone systems. Dialpad familiarity a plus.
  • Cyber Security implementation and IT Audit.
  • Point of contact for track contractors.
  • Perform NHRA.TV customer support duties by helping NHRA.TV customers.
  • Manage and file department expenses.
  • Organize, track and manage inventory of IT related items in San Dimas office and Pomona facilities.
  • Any experience with UniFi equipment is desired.
Minimum Skills/Experience/Education Requirements
  • Education - Must have a high school diploma.
  • Required Experience - 2+ years of IT support experience; 2+ years of networking experience.
  • Certifications - ITIL/ITSM, A+, Google IT Support certification are desired.
  • Troubleshoots tech issues - Fixes problems with computers, printers, internet connections, software errors, etc.
  • Resets passwords - Helps users get back into their accounts when they forget or get locked out.
  • Installs and updates software - Installs new applications or makes sure existing ones are up to date.
  • Sets up new devices - Prepares and configures new laptops, desktops, phones, and other equipment for employees.
  • Provides tech support - Answers calls, chats, or emails from users needing help with tech-related issues.
  • Maintain hardware - Checks and repairs physical equipment like monitors, keyboards, mice, audio and network cables.
  • Documents issues and solutions - Logs problems and how they were solved in a ticketing system for tracking and future reference.
  • Manages user accounts - Creates or removes user accounts and assigns appropriate permissions.
  • Supports remote users - Helps employees working from home or off-site with IT issues.
  • Educates users - Teaches or advises users on best practices for security, software use, and avoiding common tech issues.
  • Communication - Communicates effectively with clients and all levels of management both in writing and verbally.
  • Teamwork - Collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Problem-Solving - Finds solutions to challenges with ease.
  • Detail-Oriented - Thorough with tasks, attention to detail, organized, accurately and timely completion of tasks.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work at a computer most of the day.
  • Ability to talk on the phone as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, run, and/or climb stairs.
