Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician

Whittier, CA $40-$50 per hour

A leading heavy equipment dealership in Whittier, CA is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to work on top-tier construction equipment from brands like John Deere, Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu, JCB, and more while providing expert diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in the field.



Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy construction equipment


  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics


  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on fuels, fluids, lubrication, and industrial hydraulic, electrical, air, and water systems


  • Conduct inspections and document service records


  • Ensure compliance with all company and industry regulations


  • Provide exceptional customer service while working on-site at client locations



Experience & Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience servicing and maintaining heavy construction equipment


  • High school diploma or GED


  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills for diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems


  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills


  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus but not required)



Compensation & Benefits

  • $40 - $50 per hour, based on experience
