About the role of Technical Surveyor at Aira The Technical Surveyors at Aira are responsible for visiting customer properties after a sale to collect all necessary data to determine system requirements for heat pump installations. This data will be shared with our design team and installers to ensure the most efficient heating installation possible.
If you have a background in plumbing, heating, renewables, or building surveys, this role may be perfect for you. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. While some travel within your region is expected, our planning team will strive to keep your work as local as possible.

Key responsibilities of the Technical Surveyor role at Aira As a Technical Surveyor, you'll visit customer properties to accurately collect data, including but not limited to:
- Room sizes
- External property dimensions
- Building materials
- Window dimensions and materials
- Existing heating systems
- Existing electrical systems
- Location for the heat pump
- Hot water requirements and cylinder location
- Pipe and cable routes
- Special or specific customer requirements
- Heating emitters and manifold locations
Experience in one of the following is essential:
- Plumbing or heating installation (minimum NVQ Level 2)
- Domestic electrical installation
- Survey or specification experience for boilers/heating systems
