The Senior Superintendent is responsible for providing overall leadership for all on-site field activities for a variety of health care construction projects ranging from $1M - $200M+. This individual will manage all aspects of the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.

Description

  • Provide overall leadership in the planning and execution of large-scale, complex health care projects. Project values can range from $1M - $200M+
  • Coordinate daily construction activities within existing operating facilities
  • Review project budget with project team members
  • Implement, maintain, and enforce a site-specific project safety program in accordance with all company policies
  • Participate in monthly project status reports meetings
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on all purchase orders and subcontractor contracts
  • Prepare for & participate in internal, owners and subcontractor meetings
  • Collaborate with project management team to develop and run foreman/subcontractor meetings
  • Responsible for all jobsite control reporting measures including daily reports, payroll, quality reporting, accident and incident reports, and timesheets
  • Responsible for ensuring the review of submittals, shop drawings, and requests for information (RFI's)
  • Manage the closeout process with formulating and completing the job close out check lists, punch list process, gathering and issuing project close out documentation

Profile

  • Degree preferred but not required
  • At least 10 years of supervisory construction experience
  • General Contracting background with a focus in health care projects. Project values can range from $1M - $200M or higher
  • Must be willing to obtain CHC Certification if not already certified
  • Project types can include health care fit-outs/interiors, renovations, and/or new construction work
  • Demonstrated success in managing construction projects from start to completion
  • Demonstrated skills in: managing site activity, labor relations, anticipating and resolving project issues, establishing and enforcing site schedule requirements, managing site safety and insurance risks, and subcontractor management
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • OHSA 30, CPR, First Aid Certifications
  • Strong tenure at current and previous employers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
