Job Purpose:
The Data Integration Specialist will be responsible for designing, architecting, implementing, and testing data integration solutions. This role requires deep collaboration with business owners and stakeholders to ensure that data integrations align with business needs and are executed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
  • Perform data analysis to confirm business requirements and develop validation/source target mappings and transformation logic.
  • Create re-usable transformations and optimize mappings for performance, implementing complex business rules as necessary.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts, Operations, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of data integrations.
  • Document best practices and guidelines for support teams to follow.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases and plans to perform unit testing.
  • Identify and address data quality issues, implementing remediation processes for data quality risks.
  • Work with diverse technologies, operating systems, and programming languages to manage custom client integrations and internal system enhancements.
  • Provide input for project/work effort costing, including resource and hardware/software estimation.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members, potentially leading projects.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the products supported by the software development department and IT's source control and release management processes.
Skills Required:
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes and experience with data integration tools such as RedPoint Data Management, Alteryx, Data Stage, Dataflux, Informatica, SSIS, or Sterling Integrator.
  • Expertise in X12 EDI standards for healthcare data.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C , Java, Python).
  • Experience in writing SQL queries and developing stored procedures.
  • Demonstrated capability in release management, including continuous integration and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to act as a self-starter and detail-oriented professional.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
