Job Title: Health & Safety Business Partner

Description: Health and Safety Business Partner

Location & Working Style: Hybrid working: a combination of working from home and from our office in Newcastle upon Tyne

Employment Type & Salary: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hpw), Salary circa: £50,000 pa depending on experience, with a car allowance and benefits including a health cash plan

Role Overview: We are passionate about developing and implementing health and safety strategies, plans, and policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Typical Day:

  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders
  • Support operational management with training programs
  • Conduct health and safety checks, audits, and generate management reports
  • Advise on procurement processes and maintain supply chain relationships
  • Engage with the health and safety team

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; IOSH certification; working towards CMIOSH; CPD maintenance
  • Experience in maintenance/construction H&S management
  • Ability to compile risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
  • Experience with construction-related health and safety, including training on risks like working at heights, asbestos, vibration, dust
  • Investigate incidents and produce reports
  • Experience in policy writing and review
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid UK driving license

Job Details:

  • Working days: Monday to Friday
  • Regional responsibility with occasional travel
