We re working with a dynamic business based in Hampshire, who are expanding their Health, Safety & Environmental function as part of an exciting period of growth and transformation. They re on the lookout for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is ready to play a key role in shaping and strengthening their HSE performance.
What you ll be doing: You ll be at the heart of driving health, safety, and environmental best practice across the business. From developing and delivering training, to carrying out risk assessments, audits, and inspections you ll be a visible and trusted point of contact for all things HSE.
Here s a snapshot of your day-to-day:

Leading risk assessments and driving practical improvements across operations

Conducting audits and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and supporting ISO 45001 implementation

Gathering and reporting on H&S data to identify trends and influence decision-making

Supporting investigations into incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions

Delivering safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture

Carrying out routine site inspections and working with teams to mitigate risk

Helping shape emergency response plans and ensure documentation is always audit-ready

Collaborating with product and quality teams to ensure compliance across all aspects of safety and process
What we re looking for: This role would suit someone who s already working in a similar Health & Safety or QHSE position, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a technical environment. You ll be confident working with a range of stakeholders and passionate about making a real difference.

Previous experience in a Health & Safety or QHSE role

Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice

Skilled in audits, inspections, and root cause analysis

Excellent communication skills confident engaging across all levels

Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 (and ideally ISO 45001)
-
IOSH or NEBOSH certification desirable, as well as First Aid training
