Health Promoter

Part-Time Position Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of one year experience as a Health Promoter, Community Health Worker, Health Educator, or Outreach Worker Experienced with group presentation and facilitation High School graduate or equivalent with college coursework in maternal and child nutrition, nutrition and food science, and/or culinary arts Bilingual English/Spanish required Valid California driver's license Current California registration for personal transportation Proof of personal vehicle insurance Description of Duties:
• Promotes project activities and conducts community-based outreach and education activities to eligible community members, groups, and organizations in the project service area Facilitates educational presentations and food demonstrations Makes follow-up calls to program participants; performs data entry according to guidelines Assists with the preparation of materials and supplies for presentations and food demonstrations Provides administrative and logistic support to project activities Position requires a background check and health clearance Salary Range: $20-$24/hr
