A leading law firm with a strong regional presence and well-established practices in health and human services and corporate law is seeking a Health Care/Corporate Attorney with a minimum of three years of relevant experience to join its Hartford-based office. This is a unique opportunity to work with a collaborative team advising a wide range of health care and human service organizations. Partial remote work will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel to health care providers, hospitals, and human services organizations on a variety of regulatory and corporate matters.
- Advise clients on compliance with state and federal health care laws, including HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Draft and review contracts, service agreements, governance documents, and policies.
- Support clients in structuring joint ventures, mergers, and other strategic transactions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex regulatory issues.
- Participate in business development and client relationship management activities, where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Connecticut (or eligibility for admission).
- At least 3 years of experience counseling health care and/or human service organizations.
- Strong understanding of health care regulations and corporate structuring.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Portable business is a plus but not required, even for senior-level candidates.
