APPLICATIONS CLOSING DATE: MARCH 20, 2025 The Head Racquet Sports Professional plays an essential role in maintaining and enhancing the positive culture at Cascades Country Club. Reporting directly to the Director of Racquet Sports, this position focuses on providing high-quality
instruction, fostering strong relationships with members, and contributing to the overall success of the club's tennis and pickleball programs. The Head Professional will offer private and group lessons, assist in club events, and support member
engagement through active participation in the Cascades and Tyler community.
About Cascades: The Cascades Country Club in Tyler, Texas, as it is known today, was built in 2004. It lies within the beautiful Cascades neighborhood. The racquets facility boasts 8 outdoor hard courts and the only 2 indoor courts in East Texas. Blended lines on
the tennis courts offer 8 pickleball courts (both indoor courts and outdoor courts).
Overview: The Cascades Country Club Head Professional will deliver high-quality instruction to all program participants. This individual should possess a deep understanding of tennis and pickleball, and a passion for helping players of all ages and skill levels
achieve their goals. They must work well with other Pros and CCC staff while contributing to the community and culture.
Primary Responsibilities Instruction:
- Provide private lessons to current and new members as well as guests, from beginners to advanced players of all ages
- Develop and execute lesson plans tailored to individual player needs and goals.
- Help with junior and adult clinics and specialized programs (i.e., junior camps, adult clinics and team practices, special events, tournaments)
- Provide hour lesson assessments with new members
- Ability to teach and work during the week and/or on weekends
Programming and Events: - Attend monthly staff meetings and plan to attend club social events to engage with CCC members
Member Engagement: - Foster strong relationships with members to understand their goals and promote club programs
- Provide welcoming and professional experience for all members and guests
Administrative Duties: - Collaborate with Director of Racquet Sports and Staff on scheduling, marketing, and program development
- Be professional and responsive to texts/emails and member requests for lessons.
Qualifications: - Previous or proven experience as a tennis and pickleball professional
- Preferred certification by RSPA - or must attain within 2 years
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching tennis
Skills: - Strong knowledge of tennis and pickleball instruction techniques and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and a commitment to creating a fun and energizing learning environment
- Ability to engage and motivate players of all levels
Compensation and Benefits: - Highly Competitive salary - commensurate with experience
- Lesson Commissions / Hourly rate for junior program
- Racquet Stringing

Experience/Requirements: - Coaching: 3 years (Preferred)
- 4.5+ Level Tennis Player
- Must be a US Citizen
License/Certification: - RSPA Certification (Preferred)
