Head Secretary

A well-established charter school located in Syracuse, Utah, is now accepting applications for an elementary Head Secretary. This is a full-time position. The start date for this position will be July 1st, 2025. Syracuse Arts Academy provides a challenging, accelerated curriculum where academic excellence, character development, and individual growth are nurtured in a safe, orderly and pleasant environment. Qualified candidates and main responsibilities of the Secretary will be as follows: SKILLS Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other software programs Professional verbal and written communication skills via phone, emails, letters, etc. Ability to complete all jobs quickly and accurately with attention to detail Flexibility to work extended work hours on occasion Availability by cell phone to receive calls or texts 24/7 Resourceful in contacting subs and keeping an active, up-to-date file on sub availability Knowledge of school policies, procedures, and schedules Possess technical skills needed to support school grant implementation/uploading student info Commitment to learning new technology to improve productivity General knowledge of bookkeeping Adept at ordering, inventory, distribution of supplies, and purchasing materials Competency in the PO process, creating/editing/issuing Pos Emergency medical training and ability to assist with small medical issues Interpersonal Skills Consistently demonstrate a positive, welcoming demeanor and professional attitude Commitment to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and to take initiative Strong interpersonal skills with all stakeholders Ability to work successfully with administration, staff, parents, and students Professional, patient, and courteous attitude under stress and high levels of pressure Skill in managing and leading office personnel and support staff Public relations and positive representation for Syracuse Arts Academy schools Qualified candidates must submit for and pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements.
