The Head of Operations & Distribution for the Pharmacy Division will oversee end-to-
end operational and logistical functions, responsible for P&L,including supply chain management, inventory control, warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, and regulatory compliance. This
role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimization, and timely distribution
of pharmaceutical products across the network while maintaining high service and
safety standards.
Reporting Structure : Direct Reporting to Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
1.P&L Responsibilities
Responsible to Manage P&L for Entire pharmacy Division.
Develop and manage the annual budget, create financial forecasts, and monitor actual performance against budgeted figures.
2. Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement long-term strategies for pharmacy operations and
distribution aligned with business goals.
Lead and scale logistics networks across retail stores, e-commerce channels,
hospital partners, and B2B customers.
3. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, procurement coordination, and
inventory accuracy.
Drive OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) delivery metrics and reduce stock outs/overstocking
scenarios.
4. Distribution Network Management
Manage and optimize central and regional distribution centers (DCs), including
last-mile delivery and reverse logistics.
Build partnerships with 3PL/transport vendors and negotiate service contracts.
5. Process Optimization & Technology
Implement technology-driven solutions such as WMS, TMS, and ERP
integrations to streamline operations.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data analytics for continuous
improvement.
6. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical regulations, cold chain requirements, and
SOPs in storage, handling, and transportation.
Coordinate with quality and regulatory teams to maintain licenses and
certifications.
7. Team Leadership
Lead a team of warehouse managers, logistics coordinators, supply planners,
and regional distribution leads.
Drive a performance-oriented culture through training, mentoring, and KPI-based
evaluations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical logistics, warehousing, and regulatory
compliance
Expertise in supply chain planning tools, WMS/TMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle,
etc.)
