HEAD OF VENTURE GROWTH - CITY INNOVATIONS

City Innovations isn't your typical venture studio-and this isn't your typical growth role.


As Head of Venture Growth, you'll be the architect and operator of our go-to-market engine. You live for the zero-to-one stage. You're addicted to experimentation, allergic to red tape, and you know exactly how to turn raw hypotheses into hard traction.


You'll design and execute bold, scrappy, high-impact growth strategies from first click to closed deal. Some days you'll be deep in funnel analytics; other days you'll be on early sales calls, pitching alongside founders, helping shape the narrative, objection handling on the fly, and adjusting our ICPs in real time. You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and sell-because you know early traction is a growth strategy.


What You'll Do

  • Own the growth strategy from blank slate to scalable playbook
  • Build, test, break, and rebuild campaigns across paid, organic, outbound, and product-led channels
  • Sit in on early sales calls, refine our pitch, and help close deals
  • Chase signal. Kill vanity metrics. Obsess over CAC, LTV, velocity, and retention
  • Architect growth loops and customer journeys that actually convert
  • Identify ideal customers, get inside their heads, and move them to action
  • Create and optimize landing pages, email flows, cold outreach cadences, and lead magnets
  • Partner closely with product and design to make sure what we're building aligns with what the market craves

Who You Are

  • You've taken something from zero to one-and have the war stories (and wins) to prove it
  • You thrive in the early chaos and love figuring things out on the fly
  • You've been part of early sales motion or worked shoulder-to-shoulder with founders to land key customers
  • You're a full-stack growth marketer who blends data, creativity, and hustle
  • You understand customer psychology and can turn insights into high-converting campaigns
  • You don't wait for approval-you ship, learn, and iterate fast
  • You can build in Webflow, run your own campaigns, write copy, and test offers
  • You're energized by ambiguity, allergic to slow

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of growth marketing or performance marketing experience-ideally in early-stage startups or new ventures
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel metrics and growth loops
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with sales teams or being on the frontlines of early customer acquisition
  • Experience with outbound and inbound marketing channels (SEO/SEM, PPC, email, cold outreach, paid social, etc.)
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and results to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Bonus: Fluent in low-code/no-code tools like Webflow, Zapier, Figma, and Relume
