As the Head of Tax, you'll lead and scale our advisory operations, managing the end-to-end tax filing process for thousands of clients while setting the strategic direction of our tax services. You'll recruit and manage a blended team of in-house and external tax professionals, oversee filings across all jurisdictions, and partner closely with product and engineering to build internal tools and agentic AI systems that drive efficiency and quality. You'll play a key role in defining service expansion-across new tax categories, international markets, and financial advisory. Requirements:
- 5 - 15 years of experience handling corporate federal and state tax returns and managing teams to streamline tax processes and workflows in a high volume environment
- Multiple years experience working on corporate 1120 returns
- Ideally played a similar role in a tax advisory and/or tax and accounting services startup
- Advanced expertise of the US tax code (federal and state)
- Knowledge of R&D tax credits, deductions, and tax strategy/planning
- Degree in accounting or finance from a top school
- Active CPA License
