The Role
As our Head of Sales, you'll define and own the revenue engine. You'll be responsible for building and scaling our sales org from the ground up-laying the foundation for outbound strategy, team structure, tooling, and GTM playbooks. This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role at a high-growth AI startup and directly shape how we bring our product to market.
What You'll Do
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and own the end-to-end sales strategy-from segmentation and outreach to conversion and expansion.
- Team Building: Hire, coach, and scale a high-performing sales team (AEs, SDRs, and future sales ops/support roles).
- Pipeline Ownership: Drive pipeline growth through outbound sales, partnerships, and GTM initiatives.
- Process Optimization: Build scalable sales processes, KPIs, and CRM workflows to ensure consistent performance and visibility.
- Customer Focus: Deeply understand customer needs across verticals (e.g., SaaS, e-commerce, education) and translate that into compelling messaging and outreach.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success to align GTM efforts and close feedback loops.
- Revenue Leadership: Accurately forecast pipeline and revenue, and report on key performance metrics to the exec team.
- Strategic Expansion: Identify opportunities for new market penetration, pricing strategy, and channel development.
What We're Looking For
- 5-8+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Track record of closing mid-market and enterprise deals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proven ability to build and scale a sales function from scratch (preferably in a seed or Series A startup).
- Data-driven approach to pipeline management and performance tracking.
- Excellent storytelling, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
- Deep understanding of sales tooling (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Gong).
- Passion for emerging tech and the future of AI-powered communication.
