The Head of Sales will be tasked with building and growing our retail channel. This individual will be responsible for the growth of the business with a consumer centric, hands-on approach. The individual is responsible for driving all commercial fundaments, building strong retail relationships and finding new business opportunities. Qualified candidates must have experience developing key account planning, managing customer p&l, negotiations with retail partners, merchandising, sales forecasting and driving Work cross functionally with Marketing and Operations to deliver optimal results and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork.


This role will require a balance of strategic thinking, communication skills and relationship management as it will require a demonstrated ability to develop consumer knowledge and insight and constant interaction to coordinate work and deliver objectives.


  • Develop the strategy to deliver the business growth for sell out and sell in. Drive the success of the Retail channel through forecasting, budgeting, key account planning, P&L accountability, brand execution at POS and online .
  • Develop and manage commercial fundamentals: pricing, promotional plan and distribution across all accounts. Measure and track performance daily/ weekly and communicate plans to execute team with recommendations on how to improve the business.
  • Continually analyze and recommend tactics to drive top-line growth and profitability for channels.
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to drive retail operations and NPD planning.
  • Be the brand expert related to retail strategies and industry benchmarks.
  • Develop detailed forecasts to align with supply chain and operations to allow for optimal planning.
  • Effectively analyze and translate data into actionable business plans.
  • Focus on quality and understanding of consumer behaviors.
  • Negotiate agreements and build vendor relationships.
  • Develop a profitable business model for the retail channel; short term and long term.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 10+ years working in Sales roles preferably from a well-recognized high growth, CPG/beauty/luxury/lifestyle service organizations.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading successful teams.
  • Experience in managing mass channels - Target and Walmart.
  • Provides creative solutions generating business value, promotes team creativity and utilizes data to draw new insights.
  • Driven and impactful leader with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Effective communicator both written and verbal.
  • Builds strong relationships externally and internally.
  • Manages complexity.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Takes initiative to solve problems and results oriented with focus on continuous improvement.
