Due to strategic growth, we are expanding our team and are seeking a Head of Sales to oversee the daily operations at our Manchester office.
As Head of Sales at our Manchester office, you will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing sales team in a fast-paced environment. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the sales process, including car finance brokerage and retail car sales. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in car finance, a deep understanding of the brokerage industry, and a proven track record of managing large teams to achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a sales floor to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Develop and maintain a positive and motivating work environment that encourages high performance and accountability.
- Implement and monitor sales strategies to increase profitability and unit output.
- Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes in both car finance brokerage and retail sales.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, and take appropriate actions.
- Manage the performance of our Sales Managers, providing motivation, guidance, and support to help them achieve their goals and drive the success of their teams.
- Report on sales performance to senior management, including analysis of sales metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Communicate company goals, sales targets, and performance expectations to the sales team clearly and effectively.
- Contribute to the development of long-term sales strategies in line with company growth objectives with the Senior Management team.
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies, particularly in relation to car finance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Sales management role within the car finance and/or automotive industry.
- Proven experience in managing large sales teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of car finance products, processes, and regulations.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to implement and execute sales strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
