About the position:

We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales to accelerate our growth and manage/scale our sales organization. This is a true player/coach leadership role, where you will collaborate cross-functionally with our marketing, product, and customer success teams to create a sales strategy for both our SMB and Enterprise groups that aligns with business goals and market needs. Additionally, you will lead the team by interacting with and helping the sales team close our largest sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Leadership: Take ownership of the sales strategy for our SMB and Enterprise pipelines, guiding opportunities from initiation to successful completion. This role requires implementing a comprehensive sales strategy and optimizing current processes to fuel growth and significantly expand SmartAC's footprint in the HVAC and Smart Home sectors.
  • Revenue Growth & Forecasting: Take ownership of sales forecasts and revenue growth targets. Predict trends, evaluate performance, and ensure consistent achievement of sales objectives. Be comfortable adding millions annually in Annual Recurring Revenue through traditional B2B sales channels.
  • Sales Team Management: Oversee and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management. Establish clear sales targets, track team performance, and provide feedback to drive success.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales initiatives with broader company goals. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between teams to deliver a cohesive customer experience.
  • Market & Competitive Insights: Be the go-to expert on the HVAC and Smart Home IoT market, competition, and buyer personas. Use market intelligence to shape sales strategies and refine messaging, product offerings, and sales materials.
  • Sales Enablement & Tools: Work with marketing to develop sales enablement materials, including training, sales playbooks, case studies, competitive analysis, and demo presentations. Equip the sales team with the tools and resources they need to close deals efficiently and effectively.
  • Customer Relationships & Retention: Build strong, lasting relationships with key accounts and stakeholders. Use customer feedback and insights to improve offerings, sales tactics, and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head of Sales or in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within the Home Services Trades, SaaS, IoT, or Smart Home industries.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive significant revenue growth.
  • Experience leading, managing, and scaling high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret key sales metrics and connect them to business results.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate complex ideas and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • High level of comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing technology company.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Hubspot) and sales enablement tools.
