Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, own, and execute the solar module sales and go-to-market strategy for the US
  • Identify, qualify, and acquire long-term customers including utility-scale solar developers, IPPs, EPCs, and infrastructure investors
  • Represent the organization at key US industry conferences, trade shows, and through broader brand-building initiatives
  • Originate, structure, and finalize solar module supply agreements
  • Engage with key stakeholders including customers, independent engineers, consultants, lenders, and legal teams to ensure best practices in module export from India to the US
  • Manage internal and external legal relationships to ensure adherence to US regulations and MSA contractual terms
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers
  • Analyze market trends, inputs, and variables to inform business strategy and forecasts
  • Define and track key sales performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure cohesive execution and alignment
  • Provide regular updates and strategic insights to the executive team
  • Lead planning and structuring for the US sales team including staffing and resourcing
  • Develop and implement tools, processes, and SOPs for US module sales operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; post-graduate degree in a relevant field is a plus
  • 8-12 years of experience in sales, specifically in solar module sales
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • In-depth understanding of solar module technology and its market dynamics preferred
  • Prior experience negotiating and executing solar module supply agreements is highly desirable
  • Ability and willingness to travel, including occasional short-notice travel
