Position Title: Head of Product Marketing - Life, Disability, and Annuities
Primary Location: New York, NY

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer, Individual Markets

Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and execution-focused marketing executive to lead the Product Marketing function for our Life, Disability, and Annuities businesses. This individual will be responsible for setting and executing the marketing go-to-market strategy across product lines, elevating our brand presence, supporting distribution, and driving profitable growth through integrated marketing efforts. Reporting to the CMO of Individual Markets, this executive will serve as a critical thought partner to Product, Distribution, and Enterprise Marketing leadership and oversee a high-performing team of marketers.
The ideal candidate brings deep financial services expertise, a proven track record in insurance marketing, and exceptional leadership capabilities. They are fluent in market trends, regulatory dynamics, and advisor behavior-balancing strategic vision with operational excellence to deliver results in a highly regulated, consumer-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the end-to-end product marketing strategy for Life, Disability, and Annuities. Align marketing objectives with business goals to accelerate growth across new and existing products within the Individual Markets portfolio.
Product & Campaign Strategy: Lead the planning and execution of product launches, promotional campaigns, and advisor enablement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns are insight-driven, compliant, and impactful.
Content & Messaging Oversight: Oversee the development, governance, and evolution of client-facing and advisor-facing content, ensuring alignment with brand voice, market opportunity, and distribution needs.
Sales Enablement & Distribution Support: Partner closely with wholesalers and agency leaders to deliver high-impact materials (e.g., presentations, seminars, digital tools) that drive advisor engagement and client outcomes.
Budget & Resource Management: Manage marketing budgets, vendor relationships, and operational processes for the product lines. Drive efficiencies while maintaining quality and speed to market.
Cross-Functional Influence: Serve as a key liaison to Product Development, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Distribution, and external agencies to ensure alignment, speed, and compliance across initiatives.
Regulatory Stewardship: Lead the marketing compliance process for all product-related content. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and proactively adapt marketing approaches to meet evolving standards.

Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 10-15 years of progressive marketing leadership experience in financial services or insurance, with deep subject matter expertise in life insurance, disability insurance, and annuities. Proven success building and leading high-performing teams.
Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to create marketing strategies that drive growth, enhance customer experience, and enable sales success.
Execution Excellence: Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex initiatives and deliver under tight timelines.
Communication: Executive-level communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
Regulatory Fluency: Strong understanding of marketing governance in highly regulated industries; experience managing FINRA/SEC/NAIC-reviewed materials preferred.
Leadership Style: Collaborative, decisive, and growth-minded. Adept at developing talent, building consensus, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required; Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree is a strong plus

Estimated Min Rate: $140000.00
Estimated Max Rate: $200000.00
