Head of Payroll (Global) - $150k-$185k + Bonus plus equity Hybrid
Our client, a leading Publicly Traded Tech Company, is at the forefront of innovation and technology. They are currently seeking a strategic, dynamic, and experienced professional to join their team as the Head of Global Payroll.
As the Head of Payroll (global), you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the company's payroll operations. This is a hands-on leadership position ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in global payroll processes. The role offers a hybrid office schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing.
- Experience overseeing US and international payroll, particularly in Israel, France, Singapore, and India.
- Act as a hands-on leader overseeing a payroll team.
- Lead the implementation of policies and procedures for the payroll function to ensure adherence to government regulations and internal controls, while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and privacy for employees.
- Manage multi-state and international payroll processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and tax laws.
- Able to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and accounting teams to streamline workflows and implement best practices in payroll.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and maintain robust payroll systems, including expertise in stock compensation accounting and reporting.
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax, and Legal to ensure compliance with payroll regulations across the company's global footprint.
- Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and optimize the payroll process for maximum reliability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Workday is required
- Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing global payroll function in a publicly traded company.
- In-depth knowledge of multi-state and international payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local taxation, withholding, and reporting requirements with a flexible approach and great attention to detail.
- Passion for process improvement and innovation, with a track record of rolling up your sleeves to get things done regardless of size or scope.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience implementing and optimizing payroll systems and technologies.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Salary: $150k-$185k (commensurate with experience) plus Bonus and equity
