We are currently seeking a Head of Insurance Products & Structuring to join our team in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
The Head of Insurance Products & Structuring will be primarily responsible for (i) managing and strengthening relationships with key insurance clients, (ii) owning relationships across rating agencies and banks related to structed solutions, (iii) creating rated vehicles to hold underlying assets in an efficient manner for clients and (iv) preparing models, analysis, updates and presentations regarding the aforementioned topics.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Applying insurance asset management expertise to help insurance clients meet their key investment objectives within pre-defined capital, risk, ALM and yield constraints
- Anticipating and owning coordination of responses around bespoke insurance client investment inquiries
- Driving content creation and delivery of periodic portfolio insights
- Management of rating agencies and external stakeholders
- Data analysis and qualitative observation to identify trends across rating agency methodologies and the broader market
- Helping to develop and maintain portfolio management and monitoring tools to support ongoing structure management
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of work experience, preferably with experience in insurance structuring and credit investing / leveraged finance markets
- Broad investment perspective with advanced knowledge of asset liability management, accounting and regulatory capital specific to life and annuity insurance companies
- Significant exposure to fixed income insurance portfolio management and asset and liability management as it relates to an insurance company
- Experience developing and implementing strategies, creating investment policies and guidelines and building infrastructure to support needs of an insurance company
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
- A high degree of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage both internal and external business relationships
- High degree of motivation and ability to work well independently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and responsibilities
