MCS is delighted to be partnering with a regulated and licensed FinTech who have provided market-leading products for several years - in the hiring of a Head of Compliance to be based in their Belfast office (2 days per week).
This represents a key hire for the business as they continue to grow their network of global partnerships with banking and financial institutions - the successful individual will be crucial in managing the various risks associated with operating a FinTech.
This is a brand new, full-time permanent job opportunity offering a truly market-leading package for this head of function role for the successful candidate who demonstrates significant compliance within FinTech or Financial Services.
Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Owning the process for managing and fixing compliance issues
- Management of MLRO activities with SAR submissions
- Regulatory returns and key event reporting with third parties
- Responsible for chairing monthly compliance governance meetings
- Contributing to Board of Management Quarterly Board meeting
- Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the company's operations under the FCA
- Become the company's policy maker and maintain control of AML policies and procedures (in adherence to regulatory requirements)
- Carry out business risk assessments - with respect to relevant operations of the company
- Lay out relevant framework for the purposes of conducting Customer Risk Assessment
- Proposing risk mitigating measures to be applied for the purposes of addressing AML/CFT risks to which the company is exposed
Criteria:
- Demonstrable Compliance Manager / Head of Compliance / similar experience within FinTech or Financial Services (Crypto, FX or similar experience is desirable)
- You must be previously registered and approved by the FCA.
- You will ideally have proven hands-on experience in a global setting
- Must be fully confident in their abilities to communicate with senior management and stakeholders
