Location: Dunklin R-5 School District The Dunklin R-5 School District has a Head Girls Basketball Coaching position available for the school year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Set up the practice schedules. Practices will start on the first allowable day that practices may be held. (If school is not in session due to safety or weather conditions, permission to practice must be granted by the principal or director of athletics/activities.)
- Ensure players have athletic insurance forms and physicals returned before the first practice session. A team roster including insurance information shall be submitted to the director of athletics/activities upon his/her request.
- Assume responsibility for equipment and supplies, keeping within the budget amount.
- Submit an inventory of equipment and supplies and an end-of-season report to the director of athletics/activities at the conclusion of the sports season. Forms for this purpose are available in the athletic office.
- Issue, record, collect, and secure equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
- Assume responsibility for security, cleanliness, and general good order of the equipment storage area. If any of these areas are to be used by other sports, the coach is responsible for evacuating and cleaning the area at the conclusion of their sports season.
- Inform players and parents of eligibility requirements and enforce the requirements during the sports season.
- Supervise players before and after practice and games. (No student or group of students is permitted in the building unsupervised.)
- Assume responsibility for the security of facilities used by the coaches and team.
- Supervise the team traveling to, during, and returning from road contests.
- Complete transportation requests in conjunction with the Director of Athletics/Activities.
- Understand and abide by all rules and regulations of MSHSAA.
- Promote good sportsmanship and citizenship with both students and parents at sporting events.
- Lead and direct the team in such a way as to encourage good sportsmanship by example and leadership.
- Maintain current certification for First Aid, AED, and CPR.
- Comply with all Dunklin R-5 School Board of Education policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the director of athletics/activities and/or administration.
Certification: Minimum of an Appropriate Missouri Substitute Teaching Certification (required)
Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; Will know the sport and organization skills to manage the program
Salary Range: $6,337.50 to $7,687.50
