Position: Head Cook

Location: Dallas, TX (Fully on site)

Salary: $55K-$60K


Growing Hospitality Services provider seeks a Growth Focused Head Cook/Kitchen Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Create and update menus in collaboration with management, focusing on quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor food inventory, place orders, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and food handling.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Must have experience in high volume restaurant environment.
  • Support menu creation & implementation
  • Responsible for managing inventory & ordering products.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality standards & consistency.
  • Rotate all products. Label and date all food in kitchen.
  • Use preventative maintenance with all kitchen equipment.
  • Quality Control & audit each order for adherence to Corporate and Government guidelines.
  • Train kitchen staff on company SOPs
  • All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Head Cook, Sous Chef, or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Current food safe handling certificate
  • 3+ years' experience in a hands-on kitchen environment, preferably in a high volume or catering establishment.
  • Have satisfactory driving record & valid drivers' license.
  • All candidates must pass a background check & drug screen prior to onboarding
