Position: Head Cook
Location: Dallas, TX (Fully on site)
Salary: $55K-$60K
Growing Hospitality Services provider seeks a Growth Focused Head Cook/Kitchen Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create and update menus in collaboration with management, focusing on quality and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor food inventory, place orders, and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and food handling.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Must have experience in high volume restaurant environment.
- Support menu creation & implementation
- Responsible for managing inventory & ordering products.
- Maintain consistency in food quality standards & consistency.
- Rotate all products. Label and date all food in kitchen.
- Use preventative maintenance with all kitchen equipment.
- Quality Control & audit each order for adherence to Corporate and Government guidelines.
- Train kitchen staff on company SOPs
- All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven experience as a Head Cook, Sous Chef, or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Current food safe handling certificate
- 3+ years' experience in a hands-on kitchen environment, preferably in a high volume or catering establishment.
- Have satisfactory driving record & valid drivers' license.
- All candidates must pass a background check & drug screen prior to onboarding
