JOB TYPE: Part-time seasonal, 25-28 hrs/wk during peak season
JOB SUMMARY: The Boyce College Women's Head Volleyball Coach will fulfill the mission of the institution to develop students for leadership and ministry; encourage excellence in discipleship, witness and ministry through athletic competition; develop a philosophy and practice of sport that is consistent with Biblical revelation and excellence; establish a platform to attract students to function as ambassadors for the school; and enhance student life at the college.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:
- Develop and execute discipleship program for players
- Plan and conduct practice and game plans
- Recruit players in accordance with institutional and NCCAA guidelines
- Ensure that all players meet NCCAA and Boyce College eligibility requirements
- Manage budget and equipment as assigned by the Director of Athletics
- Schedule games with NCCAA and other schools for the season
- Administer all game day activity, facility and staff preparation
- Develop a fitness and weight training program for players
- Report to the Director of Athletics in concert with the Dean of Boyce College
- Remunerated with contract arranged through the college and athletic program
Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION: The person in this position should have a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE: The person in this position must have previous playing experience. Collegiate coaching experience is preferred.
SUPERVISION: The person in this position will supervise the Assistant Coach.
The person in this position will report to the Director of Athletics.
