District: Northland Community Northland/Hill City Storm is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced individual to lead and develop our boys basketball program as Head Coach. The season will be the first as a co-op program with Hill City. Primary goals include developing cohesiveness during the transition to a co-op program and building on the fundamentals of basketball skills with athletes at various levels. The Head Coach will work closely with student-athletes to develop both athletic and interpersonal skills as well as foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a skill set to be a mentor who can inspire athletes and create a strong sense of community around the program.
Job Summary: Duties and responsibilities include selection, instruction, training and coordination of high school athletes; demonstrating and generating an attitude of good sportsmanship and fair play; knowing and administering policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth in the HCN Storm athletic policy manual and MSHSL policies for basketball and providing for the health, safety and well being of team members. Other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid MN Driver's License
- Ability to pass a criminal background study
Desired Qualifications: - Knowledgeable in the sport of basketball and in coaching basketball;
- Ability to work harmoniously with other coaches;
- Interact with students, parents and community members in a positive way
Start Date: Fall/Winter 2025.
Slary/Stipend Amount: $7001.70
