Searcys is seeking a Head Chef for one of their City-based venues. As a Searcys Head Chef, you will be an ambassador for the brand, delivering memorable food experiences. You will support the Executive Chef in daily operations and mentor the kitchen team.

As Head Chef, you will need to adapt to a venue with multiple events across several floors, supporting the management of daily service and leading the kitchen team to deliver high-end events and exceptional food quality.

Job Type: Full-time, 45 hours per week

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily kitchen operations
  • Creating seasonal and bespoke menus for events
  • Training and mentoring the kitchen team
  • Monitoring standards and reporting to senior management
  • Collaborating with venue management on strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and other regulations
  • Driving high-quality food delivery and team performance
  • Representing Searcys' legacy brand with exemplary management practices
  • Maximising commercial opportunities
  • Developing innovative culinary ideas
  • Creating a professional and client-focused working environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef in events, hotels, or restaurants
  • Proven report writing and financial management skills
  • Excellent mentoring and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and understanding of health and safety practices
