Harmony Community Development Corporation is a nonprofit organization located in the South Oak Cliff community in the southern sector of Dallas, Texas. Harmony's mission is to "strengthen families and revitalize neighborhoods." We accomplish this purpose through our integrated service delivery model to provide supportive and wraparound services to 9,000 plus individuals annually. Our programs include a food pantry, resource center, counseling center and a holistic workforce development program. We also have a community partnership to provide onsite legal and family care services. Our Harmony vision is to be a catalyst for transforming communities to become whole and empowered. The Harmony Community Outreach/Volunteer VISTA will build capacity by promoting Harmony CDC in the community, connecting clients to programs and assisting with a plan for outreach and recruitment of both clients and community partners.

Member Duties : The Harmony Community Outreach/Volunteer VISTA will play a critical role in building a sustainable funding model to help our organization execute our mission and realize our vision. Major duties include:
• Plan and execute the agency's fund development plan;
• Coordinate special donor events and campaigns
• Develop donor solicitation and cultivation strategies;
• Research and write a minimum of 5 grants;
• Increase community engagement and create awareness of Harmony CDC and its programs.
