Ready for a challenge at the speed of Hypersonics Come join Lockheed's Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) team. Our system will travel at Mach 5 (over a mile per second). Helping us create a system that goes that fast means overcoming several difficult physics and engineering challenges. You will be integrating hypersonic missile technology into an Army battery on a highly accelerated schedule to deliver a hypersonic operational prototype system to the Soldier. Lockheed Martin is in search of an experienced Project Engineer that's knowledgeable with hardware integration, test engineering, command and control, ground systems, and Hardware Engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
This position is in "Rocket City" Huntsville AL. Learn more about our Hypersonic Solutions and the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program As a Project Engineer you will:

• Be a member of the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) System Hardware Integrated Product Team (IPT) Program Integration Control (PIC) team.
• Support a diverse team of Systems Engineering Integration and Test Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers

• Coordinate daily with product managers, HW design engineering, quality assurance engineers, material resource planners and planners is required

• As a member of the PIC team, you will work closely with all control account managers (CAM) for the IPT to ensure thoughtful cost and schedule integration discipline is executed effectively.

• Provide guidance to Hardware Engineering team throughout the full Systems Engineering lifecycle processes, to include weapons system operations

• Establish, manage, and communicate HW IPT programmatic expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives

• Knowledge and/or experience with Hardware Product life cycle process from systems requirements decomposition to design requirements through final acceptance and delivery of hardware products

• Familiarity with DoD Army Ground Systems and Army Missile programs

• Eligibility to be granted a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required.
Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated experience with Program/Project Management and Leadership

• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

• Demonstrated experience with development of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Ability to gain a security clearance (CUI & Secret)

• Experience with Large Weapon Systems Programs

• US Strategic Missile Weapon Systems

• Customer interaction and familiarity with the DoD Labs/Facilities

• Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, principles and tools

• Broad experience Manufacturing, Integration and Test
• Proposal preparation and negotiation

• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems, and demonstrates the ability to train others in their application Current DoD Secret Clearance - Desired

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
