Systems Hardware Product Engineer Location: Richardson, Texas As a Systems Hardware Product Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and lifecycle of
Desktop and Laptop hardware products from concept through production and support for our Critical Infrastructure team which provides the hardware for our Cross-Domain Solutions and User Activity Monitoring products. These range from single board computers to multi-rack computer systems. Position has diverse responsibilities which tap into multiple engineering/business functions.
This includes:
- gathering customer requirements
- investigation COTS products to meet requirements
- Designing hardware solutions to meet requirements
- Integrating COTS products into a complete hardware solution
- Work with Software development teams to design and test hardware solutions
- Generate Integration work instructions and work with 3rd party Integrators to train them to produce designed solutions.
- Contributing to vendor vetting, contracts, and SOW's
- developing product pricing
- Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Professional Services and Technical Support and Supply Chain

Qualifications Ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to obtain US Govt Security clearance if needed
- BS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 2yrs HW Integration or HW manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated in depth knowledge of computer HW - servers, laptops, storage
- Experience building computer racks in either datacenter or lab environments
- Demonstrated Linux System Administration skills and experience
- Linux scripting experience
- Working knowledge of computer networking - Cisco IOS
- Experience working with tactical HW - US military background, preferably Special Operations
- Skilled using Microsoft Office products including Visio
- Experience troubleshooting HW system failures
- Experience working with Dell/EMC, HPE servers and storage solutions
- Cyber Security experience and/or certifications such as CISSP or SANS GSEC
