Job Title: Hardware Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Development:
o Design and develop hardware components and systems, such as processors, circuit boards, memory devices, and power supplies.
o Create and manage documentation for hardware systems and components.
o Select appropriate materials, components, and tools for building and assembling hardware.
o Collaborate with software engineers to ensure the seamless integration of hardware and software.

2. Prototyping and Testing:
o Build prototypes of hardware systems and components for testing.
o Conduct tests to evaluate performance, durability, and functionality of hardware.
o Identify and troubleshoot hardware issues, ensuring they meet design specifications.
o Perform debugging and diagnostics to resolve design flaws or defects.

3. Quality Control and Compliance:
o Ensure all hardware designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., safety, environmental, and EMC regulations).
o Perform reliability testing and ensure that hardware systems function under various conditions.

4. Documentation:
o Create technical documentation for hardware designs, including specifications, drawings, and test results.
o Maintain detailed records of hardware configurations, modifications, and design iterations.

5. Collaboration:
o Work with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure the hardware meets project requirements and deadlines.
o Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely production and problem resolution.

6. Product Improvement:
o Evaluate and implement improvements to existing hardware systems to increase performance, reduce costs, or enhance reliability.
o Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends to continually innovate hardware designs.

7. Manufacturing Support:
o Provide support during the manufacturing process, ensuring hardware can be produced at scale while meeting quality standards.
o Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source components and ensure proper assembly procedures.
o Manage system images for rapid configuration prior to deployment.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in hardware design software

• Knowledge of power systems and electrical engineering principles.

• Experience with testing and debugging hardware.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree may be preferred for senior roles).

• Relevant certifications or additional training may be beneficial.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in hardware design and development (varies depending on the role level).

• Hands-on experience with hardware testing, prototyping, and troubleshooting.

• Secret clearance is required
