CTG is seeking to fill a Hardware Developer Generalist opening for our client in Rochester, MN. Location: Rochester, MN
Duration: 12 months
Duties: - Contribute to the physical design of high-frequency processors and related hardware components.
- Utilize industry-standard tools to perform synthesis, place and route, timing closure, and signoff.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation for physical design flows using Python, Tcl, SKILL, or similar languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analog and digital designers, to integrate and validate hardware systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex design and verification issues.
- Participate in iterative design cycles and Agile development processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality hardware designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies.
Skills: - Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Tcl, SKILL, etc.).
- Strong understanding of physical design flows, methodologies, and EDA tools.
- Experience with Cadence tools including:
- Genus (synthesis)
- Innovus (implementation and timing closure)
- Tempus (timing signoff)
- Virtuoso (integration)
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience: - 5+ years of experience in high-frequency processor physical design.
- Proven track record of solving complex design problems and implementing innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and mentor peers.
- Experience with physical checking, verification, and analog/digital co-design is a plus.
Education: - BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
