The Hardware Design Engineer will have a basic understanding of VSAT design and field integration, be able to conduct remote site surveys, and perform RF interference detection/mitigation practices while working closely with customer and site personnel to maintain current hardware and provide refresh/new deployment support. Required Experience:
• RF Spectrum
• RF Test, Management, Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)
• Systematic troubleshooting processes
• Read and understand wiring diagrams
• Read and understand Technical Manuals
• Fiber optical installation, troubleshooting, and repair
• Experience in RF Communications Systems (Antenna Apertures, Antenna Servo Systems, RF Feed Assembly, Low noise Amplifiers, Frequency converters, Antenna control units) Education/Experience Three (3) years experience as a HDE in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering of the same is required. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Salary: $90,000-$100,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position, but is not guaranteed. Salary is based on experience, location and contractual requirements which could fall outside of the range listed.
