Pave Talent is hiring for our client, a growing leader in the aerospace and defense manufacturing sector, specializing in advanced materials and engineered components. We seek an experienced Hardware Configuration Manager to lead vital technical data management and change control processes focused specifically on hardware components (drawings, specs, BOMs) ️.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the specification configuration and technical data management processes for product design and manufacturing hardware.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve detailed configuration management procedures and associated processes for physical components.
  • Establish and manage the single source for engineering data, including specifications, drawings, models, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Master Routers.
  • Oversee and execute the configuration change management process, including chairing the Change Configuration Board (CCB).
  • Manage and supervise the Configuration Control team (currently one direct report, with potential growth).
  • Administer the PLM system (Enovia) and support data integrity initiatives, including clean-up for a future ERP migration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years' experience in a configuration management role within aerospace manufacturing operations.
  • Proven experience with configuration/document control of hardware (drawings, specs, BOMs) in the aerospace industry is essential; experience specifically with an aerospace OEM is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing or leading a team is highly preferred as you will manage one direct report initially, possibly two
  • Strong understanding of change control (CCB) processes.
  • Experience with PLM systems (Enovia preferred, but Teamcenter or similar is acceptable).
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR due to the nature of the work.
  • Proactive, "go-getter" personality who can drive change and work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders with varying tenure.
