Support the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross Biomedical Services department. This volunteer opportunity invites individuals to contribute by assisting in the processing of blood products. As a volunteer at our Great Falls manufacturing site, you can play a crucial role in storing and maintaining records associated with blood products received from generous donors.
Responsibilities: - Process blood products following established procedures after receipt from donors, including scanning in units, segmenting units, and unloading plasma from blast/enter product racker.
- Scan and safely store blood products in accordance with organizational guidelines.
- Maintain accurate manual and computer records related to production and testing.
Requirements: - Willingness to volunteer in-person at our Great Falls manufacturing facility.
- Time commitment: We are looking for volunteers who can commit to one day per week (Tuesday - Saturday).
- All training will be provided.
