About the Role

As a HAL developer, you will join Airspan's dynamic and highly experienced team, working to expand our capabilities in developing software for radio base stations that support multiple radio access technologies, including 5G, 4G/LTE, and GSM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Hardware Access/Abstraction Layer for the new Radio product line with multiple variants, provide cohesive interface to the application development team
  • Develop drivers for new hardware based on HW datasheets and/or input from HW team.
  • Work with hardware teams on bring-up testing where applicable
  • Perform statistical analysis of issues & participate in debug sessions
  • Perform troubleshooting to determine and fix the root cause of performance issues and test failures
  • Drive continuous improvements of processes and product quality
  • Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) or Master's degree (preferred) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering in an accredited institution.
  • Hands-on expertise with large-scale embedded software projects
  • Proven experience of developing and maintaining HAL/HW-related functions in Linux
  • Experience with developing Linux-based drivers as per the HW datasheets
  • Experience writing drivers for SPI, I2C-based devices
  • Experience using openAmp IPC
  • Ability to write and maintain software code using C (knowledge of C 17 a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
