Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA is seeking a hairdresser to join our team. Full-time position is available in our Independent Living Salon with a complete benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 403B with company match, and more. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM
- Performs beautician duties including but not limited to shampoos, cuts, color, perms, etc.
- Maintains proper inventory of supplies and communicates need for additional purchases to the Beauty Shop Coordinator.
- Performs general cleaning and maintains safe and sanitary environment.
- Assists with receptionist duties as needed including but not limited to answering incoming calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments and maintaining charge records.
- Attends meetings and in-service programs as assigned by the Beauty Shop Coordinator.
- High school diploma required
- Cosmetologist License required
- Experience working with the elderly preferred
