What you'll do at Choctaw Casino & Resort - Cook a variety of fresh meals using techniques such as char-broiling, sautéing, deep frying, roasting, griddling, and more.
- Follow standardized recipes to prepare flavorful and visually appealing dishes.
- Prep ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling fruits and vegetables.
- Monitor the quality of all food being served and ensure consistent taste and presentation.
- Taste food before serving and apply appropriate garnishes.
- Follow portion guidelines to reduce food waste and maintain efficiency.
- Practice safe food handling, storage, and temperature control.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen space throughout your shift.
- Assist with setup, service, and cleanup of food stations.
- Rotate stock and properly label food to ensure timely use before expiration.
- Complete other culinary tasks as assigned by leadership.
You'll bring the heat if you have: - The ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Food Safety and ServSafe Certifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a broiler/sauté cook in a high-volume, upscale kitchen
- Proficiency in various cooking methods from griddling to poaching
- A commitment to culinary excellence and delivering a great guest experience
