Job Title: Guidewire Technical Architect

Role Overview

We're seeking a seasoned Guidewire Technical Architect to drive the design and delivery of Guidewire Cloud implementations. You will serve as the senior technical authority, partnering closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to translate requirements into robust, best practice solutions across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and ProducerEngage Portal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end to end Guidewire Cloud implementations, from initial solution architecture through go live and hypercare.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs; produce high quality design artifacts (e.g., integration blueprints, data migration strategies).
  • Serve as the primary client liaison on all technical matters-presenting solution options, setting expectations, and guiding customers on features and delivery approaches.
  • Hands on development: configuration, integration, and data migration across at least two of the xCenters (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) plus ProducerEngage Portal.
  • Perform reverse engineering of existing Guidewire customizations to propose optimization and modernization strategies.
  • Drive technical delivery standards: establish best practices, conduct code reviews, and mentor development teams.
  • Oversee multiple Guidewire projects and coordinate cross functional teams to ensure on time, on budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and business analysts to define cutover plans, support upgrade and cloud migration activities, and mitigate technical risks.
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of overall IT experience, with 10+ years in Guidewire implementations.
  • 1+ full Guidewire Cloud implementation completed as a technical lead or architect.
  • 2+ Guidewire project implementations (any deployment model).
  • ACE certification in at least one Guidewire module-PolicyCenter and/or Guidewire Integration preferred.
  • Expert in designing and delivering Guidewire technical solutions that solve complex business problems.
  • Proven track record in client facing roles, including presenting to and guiding executive stakeholders.
  • Hands on expertise in:
  • Guidewire configuration and data model extension
  • Integration (SOAP, REST, batch, messaging)
  • Data migration (ETL tools, Gosu-based loaders)
  • Strong architectural skills: reverse engineering, performance tuning, and adherence to Guidewire best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • Guidewire Portal (ProducerEngage or CustomerEngage) implementation experience.
  • Previous experience leading Guidewire upgrades (any module).
  • Deep familiarity with cloud native environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with DevOps pipelines, automation frameworks, and CICD best practices.
