Guest Service Specialist

Job Summary:

Provide a high-level of customer service to adults living on the property, ensuring residents have what they need while following lead of the Guest Service Specialist Supervisor.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in shift briefing with other staff on shift to review any pertinent tenant information, upcoming appointments, and duties that need to be completed.
  • Ensure the home is neat and tidy at all times. Light housekeeping duties include tidying up, light laundry, trash cans emptied, dishes washed, floor swept, organizing closets, wiping counter tops, etc.)
  • Facilitate activities such as game nights, movie nights, art activities and nature walks.
  • Transport tenants to appointments, outings, or shopping trips when necessary.
  • Remain in the center of the home so that tenants know where to find Guest Service Specialists should they need assistance.
  • Facilitate breakfast by putting out the breakfast foods (muffins, cereal, fruit etc.) for the tenants to enjoy.
  • Facilitate snacks by putting out snacks and snack bins during schedules hours (muffins, popcorn, granola bars etc.)
  • Provide high level of customer service for tenants, assisting them with tasks when necessary.
  • Communicate any facility needs or general issues to the Guest Service Specialist Supervisor.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Guest Service Specialist Supervisor

  • ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY - Is prompt and on time for work, assignments and meetings. Notifies supervisor prior to lateness or absence. Understands that excess absences pose a hardship on other employees.
  • DEPENDABILITY - Employee can be counted on to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with little supervision. Accepts responsibility when necessary to see that the job gets done.
  • JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE - Employee completes all chart related documents and correspondence for assigned clients in a timely manner.
  • Employee works cooperatively with other community resources and referral sources to coordinate services to clients.
  • QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF WORK - Cares about the quality and accuracy of work being produced. Accepts responsibility for completing job tasks. Uses time productively and efficiently.

  • CONDUCT - Conducts one's self in a manner consistent with the agency's code of ethics and code of conduct. Shows professionalism in office setting. Compliance with the company's dress code and Electronic policy is mandatory.
  • FLEXIBILITY / HANDLING EMERGENCIES - Responds well to changing situations or routines. Handles crisis situations calmly and professionally. Maintains awareness of Crisis De-escalation techniques and follows written protocol for emergency and non-emergency situations.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • First aid and CPR certification
  • Must have current CDL and current car insurance (MVR)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic Computer skills i.e. internet, email, and Word
  • Must be able to lift and carry light objects and parcels as an incidental part of their job
Education and Experience:
  • Possesses a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have a minimum of 1-year experience in the customer service field.
  • Demonstrates a genuine desire to work with the population served.
